By Train: The nearest train station is Gillingham (Dorset). From there, a taxi ride will be required to reach the prison. Taxis are available at the station, and the journey takes about 15 minutes.

By Bus: Buses run to Shaftesbury, but from the town, it is either a 45-minute walk or a short taxi ride to the prison. The visitors’ centre operates a bus service on Saturdays from the train station to the prison for £2 per adult return.
