This page has moved. To avoid keeping two versions of the same information, everything on this topic now lives in our regularly updated full HMP Maidstone guide. That page covers the key facts, visiting arrangements, how to send money, and the latest inspection findings, and is reviewed regularly for accuracy.
You may also find these guides useful: our complete UK prison list, our guide to finding out what prison someone is in, and the official GOV.UK find a prisoner service. If someone you care about has just gone into custody, the site founder Daniel Hockey served a sentence himself and this whole site is written from that first-hand experience — see about Daniel.
