Visitors traveling by car will find ample parking space available at Highpoint Prison. Parking is generally secure and located close to the entrance. It is recommended to arrive early to secure a parking spot as spaces can be limited during peak visiting times.

When visiting Highpoint Prison, it is essential to carry a valid, government-issued photo ID to verify your identity. Highpoint North visiting times:

  • Friday: 3:30pm 4.30pm
  • Saturday: 3:30pm 4.30pm
  • Sunday: 3:30pm 4.30pm

Highpoint South visiting times:

  • Monday: 2:45pm to 3:45pm
  • Friday: 2:45pm to 3:45pm
  • Saturday: 2:45pm to 3:45pm
  • Sunday: 10am to 11am and 2:45pm to 3:45pm

To organize a visit to Highpoint Prison, you must:

  • Be included in the inmate’s visitor list.
  • Schedule your visit 3 to 5 days in advance.
  • Carry the requisite identification during your visit.
  • Have at least one visitor who is 18 or older.

Note:

  • A prisoner’s visitation rights may be limited, and they are typically entitled to 2 to 4 visits a month, subject to individual privileges.
  • Highpoint endeavors to offer visits that are 2 hours long, exceeding the national entitlement of one hour.

Highpoint features children’s play areas in both North and South visitor halls, managed by the Ormiston Trust. Monthly family and children’s visits are available, for which prisoners can apply.
