Hindley Prison
Hindley prison is a YOI Prison located near Wigan in the town of Bickershaw. The prison houses over 400 prisoners and mainly holds male prisoners over 18 years of age.
Hindley is run as part of the HMP Estat in Greater Manchester. The prison opened in 1961 and although built for 400 prisoners, as with all prisons, is over crowded and currently has a population of over 700 prisoners.

Hindley Prison Directions - How to get there
Hindley Prison is near Bickershaw and you can get there via the 658 bus. Nearest big trains are Liveropol and Manchester which then go to Wallgate and Wigan North Western Stations. Youll probably then need a taxi to the prison.
