Birmingham Prison
Birmingham Prison is a category B and C male prison. It holds over 1450 prisoners and Birmingham Prison dates back to the Victorian Era. Its located in Winson Green in Birmingham which is quite close to the city centre.
The prison opened in 1849 and was operated by G4S until 2018 until HMPPS took over. The prison run educational programs to help the prisoners rehabilitate prisoners and is offered by Derby College.

Prisoners book visits through the residential units system. You can no longer book visits by phone or e-mail, and this means that the prisoner will have to inform you when he has booked the visit.
