HMP Stocken

HMP Stocken, established in 1985, initially served as a youth offender institution but has evolved into a category C closed training prison. It has undergone significant expansions over the years in 1990, 1997, 1998, 2003, 2008, and 2011. These expansions included the addition of new accommodations and shops, enhancing the prison’s capacity to provide constructive activities for all inmates​​.

Visiting Information for HMP Stocken

Visits at HMP Stocken must be booked by telephone, as there is no online booking service. The visiting hours are as follows:

  • Tuesday and Thursday: 9am to 11am and 2pm to 4pm
  • Saturday: 2pm to 4pm

Visits are guaranteed to last for at least one hour. Please note that late arrivals, more than half an hour, will not be admitted. The booking line (01780 795 156) operates Monday to Friday, from 9am to 11am and 2pm to 4pm​​.
