HMP Wayland

HMP Wayland, located in Griston near Thetford in Norfolk, is a Category C training prison. It primarily houses adult male inmates. Initially opened in 1985, Wayland Prison has undergone significant expansions over the years to increase its capacity. The prison currently has the capacity to accommodate 1,017 inmates. It offers various educational courses and workshops for the inmates​​.

To book a visit at HMP Wayland, visitors need to call and cannot book online. The visiting times are as follows:
