Prisoner Location Service: If you are trying to find a family member, relative or friend that you think might be in prison, the Prisoner Location Service can help you.
To be able to trace someone that you think may have been taken into custody, the prison location service can contact the prison, and with their permission, inform you of their location. If the prisoner refuses permission, you will be denied permission to know their location.
For us to be able to offer you a Prison Location Service we need to know the following information:
• Your full name
• Your date of birth
• Your full address including postcode
• Reason for enquiry
• Full name of the person you want to contact
• Any other name/s by which they may have been known
• Their date of birth

Locate a prisoner
Please note, disclosures of information will be in accordance with the Data Protection legislation. Due to the request having to go to the prisoner first before their location is disclosed, the prison location service enquiry may take up to 40 days to complete. Please do not chase, as soon as we have a response, we will let you know.
